What
have you been up to since speaking at the NYC Semi-Permanent?
Things have been very, very busy. I met a lot of really great
people at NYC Semi-Permanent, several of whom I'm still in touch
with and actually several people who have since hired me on numerous
occasions. About a year after I spoke in NY, I released a book
of my work for sale, opened an online store where I have many
prints and t-shirts available, I've had some really great new
jobs and clients, and have spoken at dozens of colleges, events,
and universities since then. I still tell people about my first
experience speaking at Semi Permanent, how nervous I was but
how amazing everybody was to meet and how great of an experience
I had... To date it was the biggest audience I've ever spoken
to and it was the first time I ever spoke in public...it was
a great way to get 'broken in' to being in front of a crowd.
Where are you
based out of now?
I'm currently in Tinley Park, a south suburb of Chicago.
Any cool upcoming
projects?
I work frequently with Reebok and I'm in the middle of a cool
project with them at the moment. I am planning on working
on a 2nd book in the coming months as well as a gallery show
in conjunction with the Mountain Dew bottle I did artwork for
(see www.nopattern.com for more info on that project)
What did you eat
for dinner last night?
Delicious baja steak chalupas (no lettuce or tomato) from Taco
Bell. They were fantastic.
