What have you been working on since your last SP appearance?
Many diverse things...Tye dying silk scarves and tshirts with my friend Shane Sakkeus for our new company Trust Fun. Working on pages for V magazine and Lodown based on our comic Petit Mal. New artwork for Muscles, Bang Gang and Bumblebeez. The newest book for Ksubi and working with Shane and the Ksubi art dept on the prints for their latest show and more tshirt prints than i can count for various people including Uni-Qlo in Japan, Insight and Something, Bassike and Modular.

Got any secrets to getting work?
You have to know how to set up artwork properly for pre press and know how to write code for websites not just draw pretty pictures in your sketch book. That way there will always be jobs for you because you have skills as well creativity.

Do you use a lot of resources/research with in your designs?
Yeah of course i do! I am quite useless with a blank canvas and I think it's important to have a history and meaning behind your work to support your design decisions.

Any projects you are hoping to sink your teeth into for the future?
The second issue of Petit Mal which should be out in September and I would love to find the time to prepare another exhibition of drawings.

Do you prefer being called Jonathan or Zawada?
JZ is fine with me. street appeal.
