What
things have happened to Rinzen since the group spoke at the
2003 Semi-Permanent event?
Highlights include the release of our most recent book "Neighbourhood" by
Victionary, creating rooms for Hotel Fox in Copenhagen, a bike
for bebike in Japan and the logo for Paul Pope's Batman.
Where is
everyone based out of these days?
We're all over the place now - Karl in Melbourne, Adrian
in Brisbane, Craig in New York and Steve and Rilla in Berlin.
Any personal
projects?
Most recently we have exhibited our paintings and drawings
in solo shows in Hamburg, Berlin and Madrid. In 2006 we launched
the Rinzen CarePack, a collection of experiments and collaborations
with other artists, photographers and writers.
Any Rinzen
history highlights (certain clients etc)?
We formed as a result of our RMX project in 2000, extending
the collaboration to include artists and designers from around
the world for the "RMX Extended Play" book (Die-Gestalten
Verlag, 2001). The most recent incarnations of the project
include the remaking and reworking of hand-made fabric toys
for "Neighbourhood", and an 11 day workshop exploring
collaborative methods of working in Sapporo, Japan.
