As part of the 2008 Semi-Permanent Season, ARTRAGE and Screenwest are presenting Animator and Lighting Supervisor; Alfie Olivier from Sydney’s Animal Logic Studios in a free Master Class at The Bakery on Monday 7th April.

Animal Logic is one of the worlds leading design, visual effects and animation companies. Early success working with leading advertising agencies and television commercial directors provided the company a platform for a successful expansion into feature film work including Babe, the matrix, Moulin Rouge, Hero, 300 and Australia’s first animated feature, Happy Feet.

Alfie began working at Animal Logic in 2001 completing previz, lead animation, lighting and visual effects on The Matrix: Reloaded and TVCs. He continued as Lead under Chris Godfrey's guidance completing pre-viz at Bazmark for Baz Luhrmann's Alexander and then again as lead on The Great Raid.

He then took up the position of Senior Lighting TD on Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at Framestore-CFC London.

Upon his return to Animal Logic, he served as the Assembly Department Supervisor on Happy Feet. He worked closely with the crowd director creating the look and feel of the innumerable characters surrounding the heroes, developing their actions and reactions according to Director George Miller’s brief.

Places for the master class are strictly limited and bookings are essential. For more information or bookings, email Alana Culverhouse on alana@artrage.com.au.
