Regarded as one of the country’s leading brand and design consultants, Stuart O’Brien has played a vital role in the creation and development of some of Australia’s biggest brand projects over the past 25 years. 

Stuart’s previous role as CEO of Ogilvy and Mather in Australia, as well as over 12 years as partner of Moon Communications, has placed him at the forefront of this industry. He has been instrumental in creating and delivering work to a range of the largest corporations in Australia including The Qantas Group, Lend Lease Group, Westfield, Commonwealth Bank, Tourism NSW, Brand Sydney, Telstra and Hutchison. 

Stuart founded Houston in 2011 with a clear mission; to deliver on the demands of business strategy with impactful brand and design solutions. Houston effects change from deep within the organisations, connecting it with world class creative execution - making the intangible, tangible. 

The agency has been recongnised for its core strategic strength and ability to drive creative and design excellance, quickly growing to become to one of the country’s most prominent brand agencies and building a unprecedented client list in Australia. The global rebrand of Lendlease and delivery of their major urban regeneration projects, the rebrand of Qantas this year after an eighteen year relationship with the group, and a current client list that includes Caltex Australia, Univeristy of Sydney (UTS), NRMA Mutual, Macquarie Bank and Jetstar. 

Central to Stuart’s success is his hands-on approach to every project he undertakes, navigating it through the senior ranks of the organizations as well as ensuring its public and commercial success.
