Interactive Art - Workshop

August 10, 2017  |  12:10pm – 1:30pm  |  AUT City Campus

Antonin Fourneau is a French artist and designer. His work is focused on interactive art and popular culture, exploring creative interactions between large groups of people.

Drawing from examples across 15 years of international experience, Antonin will lead a workshop on interactive digital art, giving insights into ideation, design, development and execution.

You can see an example of Antonin’s work during Semi Permanent. Waterlight Graffiti is an interactive art installation made up of thousands of LED lights that illuminate when they come into contact with water.

Professor of Digital Arts at ENSAD, Paris, Antonin is currently based at AUT’s Colab as the 2017 France / New Zealand Te Ataata Creative Technologies Artist in Residence. He is working on his current field of research about ludicity and gamification, developing a project that explores the synesthesia between sound and light by considering the voice as a paintbrush.
