Painting in Virtual Reality with Tilt Brush

Painting in Virtual Reality with Tilt Brush

"Your room is your canvas. Your palette is your imagination. The possibilities are endless."

We're collaborating with the Google Immersive Design team to help boost your understanding of VR and how it will define your industry over the coming years. To do this we’ll connect you with an unprecedented suite of artists, designers and engineers over a range of interactive experiences across all three days of Semi Permanent, aswell as give you each a customised Google Cardboard headset:

Experience one, Thursday 25th May:
In a world first creative encounter, we've partnered world-renowned fine artist James Jean with the Australian Ballet's Sharni Spencer to create a work of art in VR inspired by movement, viewable live at Carriageworks.

Experience two, Friday 26th May
We'll be hosting a panel discussion on the theme of 'Integrating technology into your craft' with the full roster of artists, dancers, designers and Google Tilt Brush engineers involved. This is your chance to be inspired, ask questions and understand the possibilities of VR to create change beyond 2017.

Experience three, Thursday 25th – Saturday 27th May
We'll have Tilt Brush rigs installed in the Semi Permanent foyer for you to have a go, so you can wrap your head (literally) around the technology.

Experience four, Saturday 27th May
Architect Kelvin Ho of Akin Creative and Typographer Luke Lucas will collaborate live in Track 12 between 9am - 2pm
