How best to open a city back up from a pandemic?
Semi Permanent ushered in the re-opening of Abu Dhabi with a sold out Mark Ronson concert at W Yas Island, reaching the venue’s maximum capacity within the first hour. The event saw people standing and dancing for the first time since the pandemic began atop the open rooftop pool terrace at the centre of the infamous F1 track, which was a fitting reason to also work collaboratively Mini Cooper.

Whilst Ronson banged out iconic track after another at the W, an illuminated Mini Cooper car transformed through a range of striking colours which were then amplified onto the walls of the entire hotel.

To compliment the nights performance, we hosted a Q&A session with Ronson to take the audience on the journey of his career and establish the motivations behind his ever-evolving career, which led him to this important moment performing for the first time in nearly 2 years.
