Bigger, better, brighter and back in Auckland – Semi Permanent 2018 is a festival of creativity.

Semi Permanent takes festival form in 2018 with an expanded programme that builds on the successes of last year’s sell-out event. Running for the first time across three days, this year’s event provides more opportunities for you to participate in more meaningful ways. Enjoy side talks, the launch of a Special Project (watch this space for format and topic details!), intimate sessions, book launches and signings, workshops, lunches and dinners as well as the two-day symposium, led by the world’s best thinkers and doers, that has been inspiring creative thinking in New Zealand for 15 years.

Semi Permanent 2018 kicks off on Thursday 9 August with Future of the Future – a high speed, high impact business briefing featuring key design executives from the world’s most disruptive brands – Google, Facebook, Netflix, AirBnB and Spotify. This morning session has been especially shaped to allow New Zealand companies to extend their knowledge about the continued digital evolution (AI and VR, digital assistants and big data), and how it will influence and change the future of work.

And, at Semi Permanent’s two-day symposium (Friday 10 and Saturday 11 August), 18 of the world’s most pre-eminent creative practitioners from across furniture and product design, architecture, branding, graphics and illustration, type and photography (and table tennis!) will take to the stage to share stories, ideas and insights about the nature of creativity. Check out the full line up of speakers.
