He has spent more than a decade following and filming the most renowned artists of this century. Inspired by his subjects, he started hitting the streets, from Los Angeles to different parts of the world, with spray painted stencils and posters of his pop art inspired images.
Considered as one of the most prolific and talked about artists of today, Mr. Brainwash achieved worldwide recognition with Banksy’s Oscar nominated film, Exit Through the Gift Shop. He is also well known for his collaborative work with other artists and creative minds such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sade, Dolce & Gabbana and many more.
2008: Mr. Brainwash made his art show debut with one of Los Angeles’s most memorable solo exhibitions, Life is Beautiful, held at the historic CBS Studios on Sunset Boulevard. Originally scheduled to open for only two weeks, the exhibit was extended for three months, attracting more than 50,000 visitors. 2009: Mr. Brainwash’s work had garnered so much recognition that Madonna approached him to design the cover of her greatest hits album, Celebration. In vinyl’s, singles and DVD releases. 2010: He made his New York solo debut in February with the unveiling of ICONS, a 15,000 square-foot exhibition in the heart of Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. Due to its overwhelming success, the sold-out show was extended for an additional six months under the name ICONS REMIX. 2011: Mr. Brainwash returned to Los Angeles, taking over an 80,000 square-foot building in the heart of the city. He used the building itself as a canvas, creating giant installations and murals. 2012: Mr. Brainwash is having his first European solo show during the Summer Olympics in the center of London.
Following his motto “Life is Beautiful” and “Never, Never Give Up”, Mr. Brainwash is involved in helping over 30 different associations like Keep A Child Alive, Toys for Tots, The Red Cross, among others, to raise money for worldwide causes.
