Namila Benson is an accomplished TV presenter, radio broadcaster and media producer.

Throughout her career, she’s anchored numerous shows on radio, television and digital platforms and worked as a field reporter on ABC TV’s Sunday Arts and Art Nation programs. As an arts journalist, Namila skilfully guides complex conversations on race, culture and gender, challenging perceptions of ‘otherness’ through a creative lens. Focusing on black body politics and diaspora/settler identity, she brings critical nuance to a wide range of discussions.
In 2019, Namila authored the memoir of beloved First Nations Elder, Uncle Jack Charles with his autobiography, Jack Charles: Born-Again Blakfella. Shortly afterwards, she stepped in to anchor The Art Show on Radio National. In 2021, Namila was appointed host of weekly national arts program, Art Works, on ABC TV and iView.
