Ophelia and Ryder Jones are artists based in the Northland region in Hakaru, Te Tai Tokerau.
Living near the ocean, they braid storytelling and chance encounters into their practices using mediums of photography, drawing and sculpture.
Earlier this year they completed the inaugural artist in residency at the Sherwood Hotel in Tāhuna (Queenstown) and received first place in the Island Photography Award.
The duo is responsible for Lorde’s internet-breaking Solar Power album cover, as well as her visual rollout and merchandise artwork. They later shot BENEE’s Lychee album cover and have worked with many leading fashion labels and magazines across Aotearoa, New Zealand.
