Not about us.
Everything else remains open.
Culture is infrastructure.
The relationships, institutions, and ideas we build today shape how future generations live, create, and belong.
Meaningful change rarely happens within a single discipline. It emerges when people from different backgrounds spend enough time together to influence one another.
Designers alongside scientists.
Chefs alongside architects.
Musicians alongside technologists.
Artists alongside policymakers.
Not through spectacle.
Through continuity.
Through proximity.
Through stewardship.
Japan is not only a steward of extraordinary cultural heritage. It is also a place where new ideas continue to emerge.
From Tokyo.
Through Shibuya.
Outward.
「 yes, 」 is a Tokyo-based cultural consultancy, venture studio, and family office.
We work with founders, organizations, institutions, governments, and communities to build long-term cultural, commercial, and civic initiatives.
Some engagements begin with strategy. Others with research, partnerships, venture creation, or incubation. Many evolve into long-term collaborations.
Rather than building audiences, we help build communities, institutions, and ecosystems capable of creating lasting public value.
In 2025, semi permanent established its new base in Tokyo.
Together with teenage engineering and an international network of collaborators, advisors, and practitioners, we're stewarding its next chapter through Tokyo Salone, Nourish, our constellations, publishing, education, and international exchange.
Aotearoa remains an enduring part of the story.
Tokyo becomes another.
Together they form a constellation connected through shared values, curiosity, and long-term stewardship.
Our work takes many forms, but each explores the same question.
How can culture help shape better futures?
Our select work includes:
Lani OS, developing tools, systems, and AI that help people and organizations think, learn, and build more intentionally.
OEO Studio Japan, advancing architecture, placemaking, and urban transformation across the Asia Pacific.
a space, in between., exploring new models for design, research, and creative practice through quite luxury, quite performance.
Advanced Design / Offsite Japan, connecting global education, emerging practitioners, and Japan through immersive learning.
Tokyo Salone, a year-round institution for cultural exchange and interdisciplinary gathering.
Nourish, exploring the future of hospitality, gastronomy, and care.
semi permanent, and a growing constellation of gatherings, publishing, education, and international exchange.
None are intended to be finished. Each is designed to evolve through the communities that shape it.
Our work spans:
Cultural strategy
Research and immersion
Venture incubation
Frontier technologies
Hospitality and gastronomy
Architecture and the built environment
Mobility
Future cities
Defense and aerospace technologies
Education
Community building
International partnerships
Every engagement is different.
The commitment to long-term stewardship remains the same.
We are interested in work that sits between culture and commerce, technology and humanity, institutions and communities.
If you're building something with a long horizon, we'd welcome the opportunity to learn more.
